Instructions:

Each eligible principal applicant, spouse and adult dependent wishing to attend Planning for Canada sessions must register individually.

Please note that Planning for Canada offers services to Economic and Family Class Immigrants and does not provide pre-arrival services for refugees.

Once you finish completing a registration, you will have the option to start completing a new registration for other eligible family members who plan to attend Planning for Canada sessions.

If you have received a job offer from an employer in one of the Atlantic provinces to participate in the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), please register using the AIP Registration Form. If you are not an AIP applicant, please continue using this form to register for Planning for Canada services.

A few points to keep in mind:

Gathering Personal Information

During this registration process and over the course of service delivery, we will be asking you to provide personal information. The personal information that we collect will be used to determine which pre-arrival services are most suited for your situation. For more information on how your information may be collected, stored and managed

Some of the personal information collected will also be used to validate your eligibility, with the Government of Canada, to receive pre-arrival services. We encourage you to read IRCC's booklet titled  Gathering Information , which provides additional details on the collection, storage and management of client personal information.

There is no save feature on this registration form. If you close this form before finishing the registration process, your information will not be saved.


Before registering, you will need the following:

  • You will need to have your Client ID Number/Unique Client Identifier (UCI). Click here for examples of where to find these immigration numbers.
  • You will need to provide one of the following documents confirming your eligibility:
    • an IRCC invitation to obtain pre-arrival services, or
    • a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) letter/document, or
    • a passport request letter that indicates Permanent Resident visa issuance, or
    • an IRCC request that an applicant for permanent residence complete a medical examination, or
    • a Single Entry Permanent Resident Visa, or
    • a Permanent Resident Visa pick up notification letter.
  • We strongly recommend that you upload your proof of eligibility immediately upon registration. If not, our local staff will request it from you to confirm your eligibility prior to offering services.
